Use the Annotations Pane to view a summary of all of the annotations that have been applied to the document currently open in the Document Viewer. The Annotations Pane displays information about each annotation, such as type, date and time of its last modification, comments, and any text associated with text annotations (sticky notes, text boxes, and callout text). This will include the annotations on every page of the document, except for any annotations on the current page that have not yet been saved. As soon as an annotation is saved, the list will be updated. From the annotation list, you can jump to an annotation by clicking on it in the list.
The annotation pane is hidden by default. To view a document's annotation list, you must open the Annotations Pane.

To customize the annotation list display
By default, the Annotations Pane displays annotations for the current page. To view all of the document's annotations, select Entire document from the Show annotations for menu. Once this option has been selected, it will be retained for all documents you view until otherwise changed. If Entire document view is selected, the annotation list is ordered first by page and then by type of annotation. Double-click an annotation in the list to view or change its properties, and right-click to delete it.
In the Annotations Pane, you can modify any annotation in the document that you have the appropriate rights to modify.
Note: Some annotation types do not have any content that can be opened. For example, a stamp exists as an image on the page, and does not have any content besides that image. These annotation types will not have the Open command available. However, since they still have modifiable properties (such as color or comment), the Properties command will be available.
To edit annotations from the Annotation Pane
To modify an annotation's content (such as the text of a sticky note or text box), right-click the annotation and select Open. This will take you to the page on which the annotation was placed, and will open the annotation. For example, if you select a sticky note, it will take you to the page on which the sticky note was placed, and will open the sticky note for editing. You can then make changes to the annotation and save it as usual.
To modify an annotation's properties (such as the line thickness and color of a rectangle), right-click the annotation and select Properties. This will take you to the page on which the annotation was placed, and will open the annotation's Properties dialog box.
