View: Layout

Under View: Layout, in the Options dialog box, you can configure the default layout options that will be used to open a document.

Metadata tabs shown
- Template Fields: If selected, the Fields tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.
- Tags: If selected, the Tags tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.
- Digital Signatures: If selected, the Signatures tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.
- Document Links: If selected, the Links tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.
- Document Versions: If selected, the Versions tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.
- Version History: If selected, the Version History tab will be displayed in the Metadata Pane in the Document Viewer.

Note: The Signatures tab will only be visible if your Laserfiche Server is licensed for digital signatures.

Simple document viewer layout
- Use simple document viewer layout: If selected, the Document Viewer will display panes in a simpler, non-customizable two-pane layout.

Important: The simple document viewer layout section will only appear if you have the [Settings]SimpleDocViewLayout set to "Yes" in your trustee attributes. (See Trustee Attributes in the Laserfiche Administration Guide for more information.) If you unset that attribute, either manually in the Laserfiche Administration Console or by clearing this option, the section will not display in the dialog boxuntil the attribute is set again.
