Security

The Workflow 8 Administration Console's Security node enables you define what each user and group can and can't do in Workflow 8 (e.g., whether they can publish workflows, search for workflows, only edit specific workflows, etc.).

By default, all users and groups have full access rights to all workflows, workflow templates, and starting rules. Once you grant an access right to a specific user or group in the Workflow 8 Administration Console, the workflow, workflow template, or starting rule in question immediately becomes locked to all other users and groups, until you specify otherwise.

Note: Permissions and access rights cannot be assigned to Laserfiche users.

To display this node's contents

1. Open the Workflow 8 Administration Console.
2. In the console tree pane, expand a Workflow Server.



3. Select the Security node to display existing users and groups. Information is organized into columns:
   
   
   • Name: The user or group's name.
   • General Permissions: The actions the user or group can perform in Workflow 8.
