Web Access Light enables you to navigate to a document or folder, retrieve the URL, and send it to another user who can access that URL using Web Access Light. The same can be done with search results, allowing you to point another user to a specific set of documents returned by your search. Because cell phones are limited when it comes to the copy and paste feature, you can easily create and send your own URLs using the syntax below.

To create a URL pointing to a specific document (Electronic or Laserfiche):

http://servername/laserfiche8/light/DocumentView.aspx?db=repository&id=id

To create a URL pointing to a specific folder:

http://servername/laserfiche8/light/FolderListing.aspx?db=repository&id=id

To create a URL pointing to an entry's (document or folder) metadata:

http://servername/laserfiche8/light/MetadataView.aspx?db=repository&id=id

To create a URL pointing to a specific set of search results:

http://servername/laserfiche8/light/SearchResults.aspx?db=repository&q=searchquery

To create a URL pointing to a saved search:

http://servername/laserfiche8/light/SearchResults.aspx?db=repository&searchname=searchname

• Servername refers to the name of the computer on which Web Access is installed.
• Repository refers to the Laserfiche Repository.
• ID refers to the document or folder ID.
• Searchquery refers to the quick search term.
• Searchname refers to the the name of the saved search.
