Page Size Identification

Page Size Identification is used to assign pages to a document class based on page size. It can be configured in Pre-Classification Processing, First Page Identification, or Last Page Identification.

Example: The Phoenix Clinic wants to process lab requests, which are mixed in with a number of other documents. The lab requests are always printed on 432x559 millimeter cards, a size not used for any other documents in the office. They create a document class called Lab Requests and configure Page Size Identification to identify 432x559 millimeter pages as belonging to that class so documents will be processed accordingly.

To configure Page Size Identification

1. In the Session Configuration Pane, select the stage of processing where you want to use Page Size Identification.
2. In the Tasks Pane, select Page Size Identification.
3. You can optionally enter a name for the process under Process Name.
4. Move through each step of the wizard at the bottom of the pane. You can also click Skip Wizard to display and configure the properties all at once.
5. Page Size: Choose a page size that will result in a positive identification. You can select a standard size from the drop-down menu or specify a custom size in inches or millimeters.
6. Page Size Variation: Choose the amount—in inches, millimeters, or a percentage—a page can vary from the specified size and still be identified by this process.
7. Orientation: Select the orientation of pages to be identified:

• Portrait: (Height greater than the width)
• Landscape: (Width greater than the height)
• Both

Note: Local image enhancements can be used with Page Size Identification.

Note: When used in Pre-Classification Processing, this process will generate "true" (identification succeeded) or "false" (identification did not succeed) tokens that can be used with Token Identification.
