ScanConnect

ScanConnect enables you to use ISIS scanning drivers. A collection of ISIS drivers is included with ScanConnect. A list of supported scanners can be found on the Laserfiche Support Site. If your scanner is not listed, manually install any ISIS drivers your scanner's manufacturer has provided.

Note: ScanConnect must be purchased separately from the basic Quick Fields installation.

Note: ScanConnect includes the latest drivers available at the time it was released. If your scanner or scanner drivers are newer than your installation of ScanConnect, it is generally the best practice to install or reinstall the scanner drivers after installing ScanConnect.

Note: ScanConnect cannot be used in conjunction with the Kofax ACE CD.

To select and configure ScanConnect

1. From the Scan menu, select Choose Scan Source.... The Scan Sources dialog box will open.
2. Choose ScanConnect. Select Show scan source setup.
3. Click OK.
4. Choose a scanner from the drop-down box. If your scanner is not listed, install the scanner's ISIS driver. Click OK.
5. To configure additional settings, select Scan Source Options... or Scan Source Settings... from the Scan menu. The settings available will depend on your particular scanner.
