You can use URLs to navigate to entries or search results in Web Access.
For example, if two users have access to the same repository, as well as appropriate security rights, one user can navigate to a document, copy the URL, and send the URL to the other user. Clicking on that URL will take the recipient directly to the document in question.
Tip: While URLs cannot be used to link to entries in the Laserfiche Client, you can use LFE shortcuts for many of the same purposes. See LFE Shortcuts in the Laserfiche Client for more information.
You can link other users to a particular folder, entry, or page of an entry using URLs. URL links to imaged documents will open the document in the Web Access Document Viewer. URL links to electronic documents will follow the user's settings and either open the electronic document with the Web Access Office Integration or export and download the document.
You can append certain parameters to URLs to further customize their behavior.
To copy the URL link to one or more entries
Note: If you are viewing Web Access in Internet Explorer, the link will be automatically copied to the clipboard. In other browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) the Copy Link dialog box will appear. Select the link and copy it, either by pressing CTRL + C or by right-clicking and selecting Copy.

Note: Because Web Access 9.2 uses the /laserfiche virtual directory in IIS, Web Access 9.2 URLs are slightly different from those used in Web Access 8, which uses the /laserfiche8 virtual directory in IIS. If you use a URL formatted for Web Access 8, Web Access 9.2 will automatically change it to the appropriate format. To learn how to disable this automatic redirect, click here.
