Help (Standard)

This portion of the Options dialog box enables you to configure help settings.

To configure the Help settings

1. Select Options under File in the menu bar.
2. Select the General node.
3. Select your default source for help files.
• Use online help: Help files stored on a Laserfiche Website will be displayed in your default Web browser. This option requires an Internet connection and access to http://www.laserfiche.com.

  Best Practice: Use online help to ensure you are receiving the most up-to-date help files.

• Use local help: Help files installed locally with Laserfiche Scanning will be used. No Internet connection is required.
4. Check for Internet connection for online help: Specify whether Laserfiche Scanning should check to see if you have an Internet connection before using online help. If this option is selected, Laserfiche Scanning will resort to local help in the event an Internet connection is not available. In most cases, this option should be selected.
