In the Store node of the Laserfiche PhotoDocs Options dialog box, you can also configure PhotoDocs to store documents automatically.
You can also specify what to do with the documents in the Workspace and the original source after the documents have been stored.
Note: The post-storage action options apply even if you do not enable automatic storage.
Automatic storage is one of several steps that can be automated in PhotoDocs. To enable automatic storage, you must first have enabled the automatic document creation option (under the Process node). In most cases, you will also want to enable other options, such as document creation criteria and a profile to be applied to the documents.
You can determine whether PhotoDocs will automatically remove documents from the Workspace on storage. This option is available whether or not automatic storage is enabled.
By default, Remove documents from Workspace on storage is selected. Documents will disappear from the Workspace once they have been successfully stored to a repository. You can clear it to have the documents remain in the Workspace. Documents will always remain in the Workspace if an error or warning prevents storage from completing.
One reason to leave documents in the Workspace upon storage would be if you if you have enabled automatic storage, but want to confirm that the documents were created as desired. This way, if you want to make a correction, you could quickly rearrange and manually store the documents you want to change. Another reason might be if you want to make multiple documents from the same pages. You could rearrange the pages or change the storage location, then store again.
Removing Source Files from the Original Location
You can specify what to do with the source files in the original location (i.e., the connected camera or Windows source folder). These options will apply whether documents are stored manually or automatically.
When PhotoDocs works with your images, it does not modify the originals. The originals remain in your drive or camera, unless one of these options is configured to have them automatically moved or deleted.
Note: When you have enabled automatic storage, it is good practice to leave the documents in the Workspace or to copy them to a different location rather than deleting them. This way, if processing did not work as expected, you still have the original image so you can try it again.

To have the original images automatically deleted from the original location
To have the original images moved to a different location and removed from the original location
You can determine whether new documents will automatically be placed under version control. If this option is selected, you will also be able to set version comments and labels in the Document Properties pane. In addition, you can choose whether or not to save the original, unprocessed image as the first version of the document; in that case, the processed images will automatically become the second version.
