Generate Pages: General

Under Generate Pages: General, in the Options dialog box, you can specify the way imaged pages will be generated from electronic documents already in the repository.

To configure how imaged pages will be generated from PDFs in your repository

• PDFs in the repository
  • Extract images from PDFs: Select this option to generate images from the pages of PDF files.
    • Preserve PDF annotations on Laserfiche pages: Select this option to keep any PDF annotations on the document as Laserfiche annotations.
    • Generate monochrome pages: Select this option to create imaged pages in grayscale, without any color.

      Tip: This option is recommended if you want to reduce file size. Pages generated in monochrome will be have a much smaller file size than if they are generated in full color.

  • Use Snapshot virtual printer: Select this option to use Snapshot to generate imaged pages. This option does not allow you to preserve PDF annotations.

    Note: This option is only enabled if your Laserfiche Server is licensed for Snapshot.

  • Configure how Snapshot generates pages
    • Snapshot Configuration: Click Configure Snapshot to open the Laserfiche Snapshot Properties dialog box.
    • Batch processing mode: Select this option to enable batch processing mode for Snapshot. In this mode, if the printing process encounters an error, it waits for a specified number of minutes before logging the error, skipping the problematic document, and continuing to the next document. This option is only recommended if you are performing unattended batch prints.
      • Stalled print jobs will be skipped and logged after (minutes) __ : Specify how many minutes Snapshot will wait before logging and skipping the problematic document.
